I listen to pretty much everything, thoughI stick with alot of indie, punk, screamo....

I'm also pretty big on soundtracks and remixes.

Rock, Alternative, Metal, Screamo, Emotive Hardcore...Hell, I even have some rap and country on my iTunes.

I used to be pretty big on rap
I've never been able to stand country though
The only music genre that makes me want to bang my head on a wall
Oh that and some types of rap
Not the soulful, deep rap
But the; 'I slapped her with my dick, you know coz im a prick, you gotta think quick, blah blah'

I listen to everything. From emo to screamo to punk to post-punk to pop-punk to hiphip to hiphop-screamo to electronica to folk-punk. I don't see why I should be confined to just one genre when I change moods by the hour.

I really don't listen to enough music to know what I like, I guess I like some of just about anything if it's good.

Metal and hard rock are good though.

Many others but I can't remember them all at the moment
Oh and yes many of them aren't metal bands

I always wonder how genre's get determined in the first place. Like how people often debate over wether music is rock or pop, hip hop or rap, emo or not(whatever else it gets mixed up with) an so on and so forth.

I mean, i'll go into Walmart and see a cd in the pop section, but then go into another store, even a different walmart, and see that same cd in the rock section.

So what gives?
Who determines this stuff?

Everyone always will have their own opinion of which music is which genre
So everyone will rate it differently

Genres I like:

Screamo, post hardcore, indie rock, emo (moss icon, NOT mcr), post-emo (such as mcr, fftl, etc), and alt rock.

Genres I hate:

Rap (the mindless shitty kind with no meaning whatsoever other than cramming as much curse words into one sentence),
country, bubblegum pop, glam rock, pop-punk (well, most pop-punk bands), and new wave.
