Scene Kids = Sluts?

Now I know what you're thinking by the topic title, but hear me out.

For a while now I've been wondering why scene kids get labeled as 'sluts' and 'whores' and I just assumed it was a generalisation, but it has come to my attention that alot of the scene kids I know ARE whores.

Seriously, my boyfriend is at his mums for a bit(she lives in another town) and he met these scene kids, and has been hanging with them today. Now they have hit on him, lunged at him trying to kiss him, touched his leg AND sat on his lap. He's told them to get off, he's told them to stop but yet they keep doing this. Oh and they know he has a girlfriend.

I also know other scene kids who are like this, and it pisses me off that...

Firstly, scene kids seem to feel a need to be whores

Secondly, that they would continue to hit on and like attempt rape on a guy who is taken

And thirdly, that they are giving the rest of us a bad rep

Yeah, opinions?

I think that most scene kids feel that since they've 'broken away from rules' (Aka, been stupid enough that no one cares anymore), they can do whatever they want.

This holds true for most teenagers though.

They're so rebellious and self-righteous that they think they can get away with whatever they want.
They feel the need to try and get all the boys they can because they have low self-esteems that they hide behind buttloads of makeup and crazy clothes.

I think for the same reasons other stereotypes get labeled as sluts: Because people are too stupid to learn the truth.

In my old group of friends
All scene kids
Everyone had prettymuch had sex with everyone
I didn't ofcourse
Only one of them
But that person and I are still in a relationship
But everyone just got drunk and had sex
Or got high and had sex
Or got drunk and went fighting
Or got high and robbed places
Too much bullshit for me so I got better friends
IMO

Well the group ranged from about 15-23
There were a lot of different people though
They just came and went
Sort of like me
And it could definetly be worse
My friends were quite tame compared to some

I wouldn't really say that scene kids are sluts, because MOST of the sluts I know are preppy and flirt with all the supposedly hot football players(13-14 year olds here. They're NOT hot)

Last year some popular preppy person went up to this guys she liked and was all "Do my shoes match my eyes?" so that the guy would look up and down at her and then she said"quit checking me out!!" Lol

Maybe all the sluts in your town formed a clan and just happened to be scene?
Almost all the sluts in my town have formed a prep slut clan.

It makes sense that sluts would band together
It's easier to seduce another slut than a regular person
And everyone could just have sex with everyone
STI's will soon become a big problem
Or a bigger problem than it already is
It's off topic but did you know that in Africa 30-40% of people have AIDS
That's an incredible amount
Abstinence seems better and better

Really, it seems like most people are sluts and whores anyway.

All my friends did bad stuff when I was in school too. I never did any of that... sex drugs alcohol etc...

Well, all them overdone meldramatic scene kids are always saying "I don't give a fuck about what people think about me. I'm gonna do whatever I want!" (which seems a little immature to me). Perhaps this is another little act of rebellion, trying to illicit a reaction to feed their need for attention. Or maybe they just don't care.
Or, alternately, its another forum of abuse, like drugs, cutting, or drinking. Degrading themselves is a part of the scene, right?

I decided rebelling is pointless, 99% of the time you'll lose and be crushed to bits.

I just remember that I did have alcohol once with permission when I was 14. Sorry I lied guys. I forgot.
