what words/phrases get on your nerves?


For example, it drives me nuts when people say their food is "chewy". I also can't stand it when people call other people "baby." Ugh.

"Fo' Sho" To me it sounds like you're a wigger.
"Yeah son" Again, it could just be my dislike of ganstas and wiggers, but it bothers me.
"That's interesting" Meh, there's only one guy I know who says it, but it says it a lot and the way he says it makes me cringe.

hmm...I know its usually meant outta respect...but i hate the word "sir" its like nails on a chalk board if you ask me..

also when their like "lets skidaddle!" or when they say "Howdy Partner!", or "Far out, dudeeeee"

I hate the word "cunt" as well, and any "crude" sexual terms people come up with.

I hate it when people say "ugh!" but like in a high pitched shreaky way

I can't say that's a favorite of mine either.
I also used to hate being called a "child" I thought that "kid" sounded a lot better back then.
"Child" sounds condescending sometimes where as "kid" sounds more accepting. (or it did back then)

I never really liked it either. Guess or Estimate. Though "guesstimate is probably closer to the truth of what happens most.

I do both of those. But I have differences in mind when using them in different situation.
Context, you know.

I do too. Because sometimes you see guys act a little more feminine and you automatically go "omg, they're so gay!" when really they might be as straight as they come.
And then my brother does a lot of stupid stuff and I always call him a retard.

It's not always affectionate
I'd hate it if someone called me a baby
Also even if it is in affection I'd prefer my other half to use my actual name
