write them.

Pretend that the 10 commandments NEVER existed and now it's up to you to write some.

These are going to be the rules that the whole world has to follow forever.

Thanks for the responses everyone.

I think your answers are very interesting. Are these the rules that you live your own lives by?

If these are not the rules you live by, what are?

I'm going to tell you what I agree and disagree with. (I think it would be interesting if you all did the same, say what you agree and disagree with in each others lists and why)

Thanks I will have to think a little more before I come up with mine. I intend them to be very serious.

I colored the ones on your list that I didn't agree with.

Number 3 I think some people should not be on this planet if they are causing too much harm.
Number 4 was orange because I like to judge people and things even if it is not always a good thing to do.
Number 9 I mainly didn't like because of people like pedophiles and necrophiliacs but that's just my opinion.
Number 8 I wasn't sure if I liked or not.
All the others were decent though imo.

At first I said I liked all these and I still do in general but since I pointed out something in everyone else's I don't think it would be "fair" to say I think your list is perfect.

I made number 4 orange because I'm not really sure what you mean by "harm". But then if you say that "harm" is allowed then people wont know it's bad.... so you have to tell them it's bad... So really, that's a fine rule even if it has to be violated at times.

10. Spread the love.
I thought this was a generally good list as for 7... I don't think everyone needs to be forgiven for everything but I could be wrong. Same for 9. I think some people should be limited if they're doing what I consider to be "bad" things.

My my.. that was hard..

1 is orange because I like to hold grudges even though that might not be a good thing, even in my opinion.
2 is orange because well... who really knows what fair is anyway? It's a good concept, just kind of mysterious.
5 is orange because I think it's not always smart to trust people.
6 is red because I think people shouldn't be arrogant and think they're right all the time.
9 is orange because people get hurt when they're vulnerable. I consider that bad sometimes.

Over all that's not a bad list though imo, just a few things I have a different opinion on. Sorry if it feels like I'm picking on you. Just remember that no one's opinions are always right so I could be totally "wrong" in disagreeing with these.

I should have said "forgive those who deserve it"

I try to follow these commandments, but I am human. I have the tendency to be selfish, to hold grudges, to be cowardly, to judge, to be bitter.
But I guess I forgot the really, really important rule. To learn from your mistakes. Everytime you break one of those "commandments," someone or somthing gets hurt. The important things is to look back on what you did objectively and see your flaws.

You can't say forgive those who deserve it though
Some people might think they are deserving
Others might not
But otherwise I think it's an improvement

And thankyou for replying to mine WD

You're welcome but don't feel like you have to change what you say just because I don't agree with it. I am not your god so my opinions are not perfect. Who knows? Maybe I'm wrong and pedophilia and necrophilia are really good things even though you wouldn't think so.

As for what deserves what, yes that's all subjective. I might think that people who are mean and sarcastic should burn in hell for hurting other people's feelings. Once again, I am not god so how can I be the one to say who deserves damnation and salvation? Maybe it was a good thing for people to be made fun of so that they realize their mistakes and become better people.

ok I think I've got some good ones now.

Perfection can never be attained it should always be striven for.
It includes all of the following:
Efficiency Because it is nearer to perfection.
Caution A lack of caution is inefficient.
Integrity Because it is altruistic.
Ambition & Endurance In the pursuit of efficiency.
Organization For greater efficiency.
Balance For greater organization.
Creativity In the pursuit of efficiency
Brutality To reduce inefficiency.
Knowledge In the pursuit of efficiency and gained from suffering.
Curiosity In the pursuit of knowledge.
Suffering In the name of curiosity caused by imperfection.
Courage to face suffering.
Mercy to survive suffering.
Objectivity For greater potential for perfection.
Humility Because you will never reach perfection.
Gratitude For all things perfect and imperfect.

I know it's not 10 but I think these are good. I'm going to keep editing them until they're the best.
Very Happy

Well I didn't want to change what I said just becuase you disagreed, but you pointed out flaws that I had yet to see and that was what changed my decisions.
And who knows; you might be god
There is that possibility

The 10 commandments are hard to 'rewrite'
'Do not steal' and 'Do not kill' seem quite obvious and easy to see
Yet would you kill to save anothers life?
Or would you steal a gun from a potential murderer?
Everything needs to be taken with a grain of salt
It's annoying me quite much latley

Yes, I know what you mean. Perfect rules are hard to write.

First rule of Fight Club: 'Do not talk about Fight Club'
Second rule of Fight Club: 'Do not talk about Fight Club!'

The most perfect rules in the world
And easy to follow..
